Our Memorial Day BBQ was so much fun. We had quite the crowd and even Grandma Letha wanted to come. She is Jim Adams mom and is 102.6 years young! She was able to keep up with the best of us! James and Elise joined us later in the evening on thier return from The Gorge. It was great having Aadam here as a surprise.......until June.

Mackie!
She is home from Boston and we are having so much fun together! From pedicures, haircuts, renovations to the kitchen and planting we are having a great time together. Dad feels kind of left out. We are working on cooking lessons and she is quite a good cook! She made a vegetarian dish with polenta and cauliflower that even her dad enjoyed.....he who dislikes cauliflower. Tonight is off to shopping for some basic needs and tomorrow to Nampa to see Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Doug. We will have an official welcome home party on Memorial Day. Mackie is leaving 6/11/07 and is going to live for two months in Chicago with her good friend Sophie and her family. I will miss her, but will see her in the fall when I go to visit her in her on campus apartment. Until later.......

Mother's Day 5/13/07
I am having the best mother's day! All by myself! After years of a busy life of rearing children I love the peace and quiet of being alone. Okay, well I am not totally alone I have Buba and Bailee. Joe is in Seattle boating and having a great time, I will see him in the morning. Mac has called from Boston, and James and Elise just came by with flowers and a card. I am heading to brunch with Mom and Stomie and then back to my quiet home to continue my painting of the kitchen! This is the life......Friday night I had Megan and Susan overnight to plant pots for their Mommy. After that experience it makes me appreciate my quiet time even more!

Yea May! What happend to April?
Well so much for posting something every month! If it wasn't for my niece who inspired me to start this....I may have even let May slip by. Thanks Michelle for keeping me honest. Joe is very happy tonight because it is raining. When I came home from delivering his mom's dinner he was standing on the porch thanking God for the rain so he wouldn't have to drag the sprinkler around tonight. We are in the the throes of helping our daughter find summer employment before she gets home from school. We have some good leads, pays to keep in touch with people throughout your busy lives. We celebrated James birthday with his girlfriend Elise and her mother at Murphy's for dinner. It was our first meeting of Elise's family and we truly enjoyed her mother Garnett. Joe's mom is coming for a visit while son Fred is out of town. She is at a point in her life (90) that we do not leave her alone at home. I love having her here, she will watch senseless TV in the evening with me that Joe won't! Well until June...........Deb
