I really have not fallen off the face of the earth, just extremely busy with work, travel, gardening and elder care. I will post more later about the summer. I am calling it "Three Weddings and a funeral" Just wanted to let you know I am still kicking and will update this space soon! The big day is almost here...we are all excited about the event. Safe journey to all and a wonderful week-end for Nick and Sara.

Wow where have all the years gone? Congratulations, hope you had a wonderful day and treated each other with special moments and thoughts about the years gone by and the years to come!. Congratulation to Aaron and Emily for having such devoted parents to be there for them also! Can't wait to see your all next week-end...............

Happy Birthday Danny, Alyssa, and Hannah! My how you are all growing, I can hardly wait to see you in another 10 days....you better brace yourselves because if you are at cousin Sara's wedding expect your great aunt Debbie to chase you around and steal some hugs from you.....and of course there may be dancing, Danny! I may need a dance partner! Anyway hope your birthdays were and are full of fun! I will bring your birthday cards to the wedding.

It has been a busy past month. My Maid of Honor Bev's daughter was married last Saturday. It was such a fun wedding. My niece Sara is getting married next Saturday and we are all excited about it. It will be such a great time to see family we don't get to see very often. Mac will be home next Friday and I can't even tell you how excited we all are about seeing her. She will be here for about 10 days only and then back to Boston. She finishes her summer school classes next Thursday and then has a break to just cruise, work and earn some money for her last year! Yea for her. Joe hurt his back recently lifting something way too heavy for him and is finally starting to show some recovery after doctor visits and numerous medications. Our good friend Marian came to visit from Washington and with the exception of Joe being checked out on drugs we had a good visit with her. We had a little party on the patio for her before she left and all the parents came including Elise's Mom. James brought a couple of friends...always hungry boys around, Eamonn and Nate. We also celebrated Elise's birthday that evening with a cake I baked in McCall.....hope to share wedding/family photos on my next post. Safe journey's to all!

It has been a busy month! Since my last post and James birthday, the Adams girls were home briefly from San Fransisco for a wedding of one of their high school friends so we were able to have a Welch Adams birthday dinner for James in keeping with tradition. Dad and James cleaned the oysters and Elise downed her first oyster on the half shell, and actually didn't think it was too bad.

Her mother Garnette also joined us. James is off on his road adventure, called last night from New Orleans. They headed out this morning for Dallas, then on to Denver. Mac completed her Junior year, start her summer school session in the morning to finish up her language requirement for graduation!. Can't believe she has only about eight more months of study left...it has gone by too fast. She is living in Jamaican Plain MA this summer in a large house with two guys and another gal. One guy is a bike mechanic, which should come in handy since this is her main mode of transportation, and the gal is a farmer who farms in Dover...Mmmmm fresh produce. Good for a Vegan. She has a couple of jobs on campus to help with the finances.

Mom, Stomie, Alison, the girls and I traveled to SLC for Sara's wedding shower. We had a lot of fun and it was great to see Michelle, Hannah, Cathy and Dan and meet Sara's friends and her new mother in law to be. We were treated royally by the SLC clan.

Just prior to us leaving we received word that Uncle Yes from Rexburg has passed on. So after we returned home, had a day to work and catch up and then off to Rexburg for Uncle Yes's services. It was good to see the Hanami/Ishino family and friends and meet some of the Miyata family of Aunt Fumi's. It was poignant to see Aunt Fumi standing at Uncle Yes's casket saying goodbye to the man she was married to for almost fifty years.

Joe and I went to McCall this week-end and got the water turned on. Next week we are going to frame in our four upper windows in the living room....which should be interesting work for the two of us, since they are 16-20 feet high! Pray for us that we are still married after the week-end!

We are anxiously awaiting the wedding of Sara and Nick and the safe return of James and Mac traveling home. I would like to wish Nick and Kim a Happy Birthday also. Adam I am searching for a good picture of you.....sure I will find one soon. Just attended Susan's kindergarten program so will include a clip for you...so cute.

Happy Birthday James!
Tomorrow is my first born's birthday. The big 24. I am not sure where all the years went...they sure went fast. I have many many great memories of those years, and can't believe his next birthday will be a quarter of a century. I have selected a few photos of him as a child, one of Dad and Uncle Fred as children reflecting where James gets some of his good looks, the rest of his looks are from me! Also included my favorite picture of Elise and James...and Mac's favorite of them in the bunk beds....his face says it all. We have had such a fun life so far with many more years to come.
